Game Recap:
The Dreadsox actually outscored their opponent in the first inning of a game
for the first time tis season, but still lost by a score of 7-17. Kurt “Li’l
Hurt” Hayashida led off the game with a double, and the Dreadsox scored 5 runs
on hits by Carol “C-Roll” Kajita, Lori “Tiger” Johnson, Philip
“Phlipper” Hallstrom, Sandy “Sander” Hallstrom, John “Squatch”
Hawkins, and Chris “Bootch” Burch. Then, after holding Sequent to 3 runs
in the bottom of the first, the Dreadsox allowed Sequent to pile up 10 runs in the
bottom of the second inning. The Dreadsox were unable to overcome the deficit, as
the game was stopped after 4.5 innings with Sequent up by 10 runs.
Squatch hit well, going 2-for-2 with an RBI. He almost scored in the first inning,
but was thrown out at home. “Tiger” led the team with 3 RBI’s,
including one on a sacrifice to score Alison “Big Al” Hawkins for the
only run in the 4th.
