Game Recap:
The Dreadsox fielding luck ran out, and Onyx Software found their bats during the
second game. The result - the game was stopped due to the 10-run rule after the 5th
inning, as the Dreadsox lost 13-3. A couple of errors and 9 walks hurt the Dreadsox
bid to sweep the series & attain a .500 record. The third and fourth innings
were especially brutal, when Onyx scored 9 of their 13 runs. The pelting was finally
halted when an inspirational cry came up from the Deadsox duggout, Hum-now
Dreads, peanut butter on the horse now, yup-yup!
Also of note, Vince Pako Brooks played in his first games of the season
and provided some nice highlights. Vince went 2-for-2 batting with a run scored &
1 RBI. He also weasled his way out of a pickle in the 5th inning, when he was almost
picked off at 2nd after an overthrow at first. Vince used every elusive move he could
muster up - changing directions twice and running like a... well, it kinda looked like
one of those lizards that can run on water... before sliding safely into 2nd base.
