Game Recap:
The Dreadsox fared better in the second game of the series against Bellevue Foursquare.
The Dreadsox defense limited Foursquare to 4 runs in the first inning, then tallied 3
runs of their own in the bottom of the first. Vince Pako Brooks, who led off
the inning with a triple, scored on Nikki The Trickster Jeromes base hit.
Chris Bootch Burch then drove in Nikki with a triple of his own, and advanced
home on a throwing error at third. The Dreadsox held the opposition to 1 run in the second
inning. Jay J-Bang Matsudaira, playing 1B instead of CF due to a pulled hamstring,
made a nice diving play on a hard hit ground ball to end the inning. (Sometimes Ive
just gotta toot my own horn.) In the bottom of the second, the Dreadsox bats came alive,
as Marc Psycho Nagel led off with a double, and the continued hot hitting
resulted in 8 runs and a 11-5 Dreadsox lead.
Alas, the Dreadsox had that inning in the 3rd, as Foursquare came back with a
10 run onslaught. The Dreadsox were unable to overcome the deficit, despite some good
hitting by Marc Nagel, Nikki Jerome and Philip Phlipper Hallstrom, who combined
for 6-for-6 hitting with 2 doubles and a triple for 6 RBIs, 7 runs scored, and 2 walks.
