Game Recap:
 The Dreadsox played great defense to start off the first game vs. Crownover Construction, allowing only 1 hit in the first two innings for a 1-0 lead. The Dreadsox allowed a few runs in the third inning, but were only down 3-2 when Curtis “The Knocker” Nakamura doubled to score Tracie “Spacie” Matsudaira. Then Crownover busted loose with 6 runs in the fourth inning, but the Dreadsox pulled back to within one run when they scored 2 runs in the bottom of the fourth and 4 more in the fifth. But Crownover pulled away for good with three more runs in both the 6th and 7th innings.

The Dreadsox were happy to welcome Barb “The Barbarian” Blakeslee to the team. Barb scored her first run as a Dreadsox when Chris “Bootch” Burch doubled in the fifth inning. Barb also played well defensively, catching a fly ball for the third out in the sixth inning. Kevin “The Joker” Hayashida, Curtis Nakamura, John “Squatch” Hawkins, Eric “Shady” Shadle and “H.R. Puff’n” Steff Zabriskie had hot bats, combining for 10-for-11 hitting with a walk, 4 RBI’s, 3 doubles, 2 triples and a homer.
