Game Recap:
Pegasus Pizza & Pasta did not have enough players to field a team, so the Dreadsox won by forfeit.
A couple of Dreadsox volunteered to play with the pasta people (traitors!!!), so the two teams ended
up scrimmaging for fun.
Defensive Play of the Game:
Little effort was displayed by either team defensively, as game temperature reached the mid 80’s,
and players were lethargic.
Offensive Play of the Game:
Stephanie “Stun Gun” Dunniway had a great day at the plate, as she had a double, a triple,
and a single. All she needed was a home run to hit for the cycle.
Laugh of the Game:
With two outs in the bottom of the 7th inning, Jay “J-Bang” Matsudaira was on first base
with Susan “Smiley” Lyons at bat. With Smiley’s powerful bat, J-Bang left on contact...
straight for the pitcher’s mound, where the Pegasus pitcher had placed his canned beverage. J-Bang
reached down to snag the drink, but the Pega-pitcher was able to get his hand around J-Bang’s hand.
The winged horseman tried too desperately to cling to his frothy cold one though, as he squeezed too hard,
crushing the can.
