Game Recap:
The second game against WMC Mongers was not nearly as close as the first game.
The Dreads took a 9-2 lead after 3 innings before getting a huge 4th inning.
The Dreadsox sent 18 batters to the plate, and 13 of those batters came back
to home plate to score. Everybody except Curtis Knocker Nakamura
scored in the inning, but Nakamura still contributed with a sacrifice fly. The
game ended in a 22-3 Dreadsox victory.
Defensive Play of the Game:
Shortstop Curtis Knocker Nakamura made a nice, running, over the
shoulder catch on a bloop fly ball to shallow left field.
Offensive Play of the Game:
With some pretty decent team speed, most Dreadsox home runs are of the inside
the park variety. However, Jay J-Bang Matsudaira led off the 2nd
inning with a shot that cleared the center field fence.
Laugh of the Game:
During the onslaught that was the Dreadsox 13-run 4th inning, the Mongers
second basewoman, having already seen 7 Dreads score with no outs, was desperate
for an out. She began to offer Dreadsox players a dollar for letting her get
them out. She did not get any takers, but got a few laughs.
