Game Recap:
The Dreadsox win streak ended at 7, as they dropped the second game of the double-header
to TVI Second Handers 18-2. The game started off close again, as both teams were shut out
in the first inning, then TVI scored 2 in the second. Things fell apart for the Dreadsox
in the third, as TVI tallied 7 runs. The Dreadsox were able to muster up a run in the bottom
of the third, then both teams held eachother scoreless in the fourth. TVI got a solo long
ball in the top of the fifth, then Eric “Shady” Shadle answered with a solo homerun
of his own to make the score 10-2 after 5. With time running short, TVI rang up 8 more runs
in the 6th inning before the umpire stopped the game because the next set of games needed
to start.
Not many highlights for the Dreadsox in this game, as their bats went a bit sour. Kurt
“The Li’l Hurt” Hayashida got a couple base hits in his two at-bats for the
game. Jay “J-Bang” Matsudaira also went 2-for-2 wih a single and a double.
Play of the Game:
LF J-Bang chased down a long fly ball into foul territory in the 4th inning, making the catch
about 4 feet from the left field fence.
