Game Recap:
The Dreadsox played well for 3 innings, but fell apart for two innings in a 22-5 loss to Pegasus
Pizza & Pasta. The teams scored 1 run each in the first inning the Dreadsox run coming
off a Curtis Knocker Nakamura double that scored Eric Shady Shadle, who
began the inning with a double of his own. After allowing a couple more Pegasus runs to score in
the top of the 2nd, the Dreads were unable to produce any points during their turn at bat. Two more
pizza-makers scored in the top of the third, but the Dreads closed the gap to 5-2 in the bottom
frame when Philip Phlipper Hallstrom led off with a double, then scored on a Jay
J-Bang Matsudaira bloop single. The Pegasus players must have began unleashing a
wicked plume of garlic from their pores at this point, because something sure began to stink. Oh,
wait... that was the Dreadsox defense. The Dreads were rocked for 9 runs in the 4th inning, then
another 8 runs in the top of the 5th inning. Meanwhile, the Dreads were only able to muster 3 runs
in the two innings, and fell to the 10-run mercy rule, down 22-5.

The
Dreadsox not only got pounded on the scoreboard, but one of the Dreads also got thrashed on the basepath.
Kurt Lil Hurt Hayashida got a lotta hurt while sliding into 2nd base in the bottom of
the second inning. Kurt got a late start in his slide into second, and jammed his foot hard into the base.
He left the game with a sprained/strained, swollen, black & blue ankle.
Defensive Play of the Game:
Still looking for it.
Offensive Play of the Game:
After the first two batters were retired in the bottom of the 4th inning, the Dreads got a nice
little 2 out rally going, as Deborah Howler Wolfe, Eric Shady Shadle and
Sandy Sander Hallstrom each singled, then Curtis Knocker Nakamura helped
out with an RBI double for 2 runs in the inning.
Laugh of the Game:
None recorded.
